Well, I'm not really sure what to write today. Life has fallen into a sort of rut, what with working, sleeping, and eating. I guess that's not entirely and Jamie have been spending a bunch of time together lately, which is always nice. On Monday, we walked up and down Broadway, sat and had a drink at the coffee shop, went to the Christian bookstore, went to the regular bookstore, then walked to the mall, looked around, and then ended up at Swiss Chalet for dinner. :) That was a mouthful. It was great that he got home from work early so we could hang out for a bit. It really doesn't happen as often as we'd like. And now my husband and I have something to add to our running joke about Swiss Chalet........that was the first time we actually ate there and paid for it! And believe me, we have eaten there quite a few times. Okay, I know y'all won't get it, but it's funny to us.

Here's a great recipe I tried the other night for dinner. It was not at all complicated, and Jamie really seemed to like it. So here ya go:

You need:
1 egg
1/2 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
1/2 dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup shredded cheese, any kind
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1 tsp oregano
1 lb lean ground beef

Mix together the first six ingredients, and then add the beef and mix very well. Shape into a log and divide into four parts. Make each part into a hamburger patty, 4-5 inches across. Pan fry them in hot oil about 5-7 minutes per side. I think I did mine about 6 minutes or so each. I make my burgers pretty fat, and they were still done on the inside. Serve on toasted buns. And to this I say -- yummy! They were extremely moist.......we loved them!!

Okay, I'm done for today. I'll post again soon. I have the entire day on Saturday to myself. Well, except for the obligatory dinner at the in-laws. But other than that, Jamie is gone all day, and I don't have to work at either job (a miracle in itself!). So I'll have to find something to do.....
